How do I bid on and pay for a vehicle?
Here's how it works:

You must register with the auction and obtain a bidder card number.
This is FREE you only need a valid Drivers License or ID card.  You
must be 18 years of age to purchase a vehicle or enter into a legal
and binding contract.

Bidding on a Vehicle:

California state senate bill 974 requires that there is a 10% Buyers
Fee on all auctioned vehicles.  This is an amount charged by the
auctioning dealer for conducting the sale.  If your bid is accepted as
the winning bid an any vehicle you will be charged a buyers fee in
addition to the accepted bid price.  The buyers fee of 10% is part of
the purchase price ans is subject to sales tax.

Vehicles at
Cal State Auction Services, Inc.,  have no minimum bid
price.   When the auctioneer is requesting bids you may call out a
starting bid price at any time on any vehicle.  When bidding on a
vehicle within your financial range you simply raise your bidder card
number.  The auctioneer will acknowledge your bid, and in the event
that your bid is the winning bid, the auctioneer will so announce your
bidder card number and the final amount bid.

Paying for a Vehicle:

Upon being awarded the winning bid you will be escorted to the front
office to make payment arrangements.  All vehicles must be paid for
within 1 business day of the day of sale.  For a list of all payment
options and explanation of fees  pertaining to the purchase of your
newly acquired vehicle go to the payments page.
